The Ford Bronco is finally back! And not just one, but a family of three all-new 2021 Ford Bronco models. The 2021 Ford Bronco line-up will include the classic Bronco 2-door, the first ever Bronco 4-door and the all-new Bronco Sport. There is a lot to be excited about when looking at the whole Bronco family. With hundreds of factory-back accessories, the options and combinations are nearly endless. The best part is that there will be a Bronco for everyone, with the base Bronco Sport starting at just $26,660 (roughly the price range of a 2020 Ford Escape). The whole lineup comes with standard 4×4 and truly built Ford tough. Ford has long been the leader with their trucks and SUVs and this Bronco family will only add to it.

When will the 2021 Ford Bronco be available?

The number one question from customers right now is when will the 2021 Ford Bronco be available at our dealership and for a test drive. The 2021 Ford Bronco is one of the most hyped launches of all time. Ford Motor Company did a really nice job with the reveal across the Disney family of networks on July 13th. The reservation portal opened on Ford.com and the reservations came flooding in. The First Edition trims have quickly sold out. The All American Auto Group received over 200 reservations within just the first 2 days. It was unlike anything we’ve ever seen from a vehicle launch.

The Bronco Sport model will be the first to come in. The ordering portal officially opened on July 14th for that specific model and will arrive at dealerships in late 2020. As the #1 Ford dealership in New Jersey and with tons of reservations turning into orders each day, we expect to receive a large amount of sold orders by December 2020. The Bronco 2-door and 4-door will become available a little bit later on. Reservations are being taken until late 2020, when they will start to be converted over to orders. The first sold orders are expected to arrive by the spring of 2021.

All American Ford in Old Bridge will have the largest selection, by far. That’s always a given. We pride ourselves on our large selection and that will be very important when it comes to the Bronco. We do urge customers to place reservations and orders online because stock units will come after the orders, in most cases. All American Ford has one of the largest accessory and customization centers in the Northeast as well, which will definitely be an important factor with the new Bronco family.

The 7 Coolest Things About the All-New 2021 Ford Bronco Family

Why seven? Lucky number of course. This list could have been 50. We encourage everyone to read or watch more about these amazing new vehicles. And we’d love to hear your thoughts on them in the comments section.

1. Throwback to the Original

From what we’re seeing so far, Ford Motor Company took a lot of care with paying homage to the original Bronco and its amazing history. There are obvious throwbacks like the signature round headlamps, horizontal cartridge grille, short overhangs with vertical and clean flat body sides and more. As a throwback to the first-generation Bronco, there are trail sights on the front fenders that can be used as tie-downs.

G.O.A.T was the original internal code name for the ’66 Bronco project at Ford. The new 2021 Ford Bronco lives up to this original idea of “Goes Over Any type of Terrain”, as the archetype of an agile, sports-oriented off-road 4×4. With these new G.O.A.T Modes™, you can adjust your drive mode to match the environment. There are five standard modes: Sand, Slippery, Sport, Eco and Normal. The ever-capable Badlands model comes with two additional modes: Mud/Ruts and Rock Crawl. As a more symbolic throwback to the Bronco’s love affair with nature, the interior materials and colors of the 2021 Ford Bronco are inspired by “natural palettes and outdoor gear,” according to Ford.

These new 2021 Ford Bronco models will have the classic feel of a Bronco with some overwhelming enhancements by Ford. A lot of chatter in the media right now are calling it the “Jeep-killer”. We tend to agree, as these models will directly compete and overpower the inferior Jeep models. More on that later (see “Best-in-Class” section below).

2. Take It Off & Get Up Close & Personal to the Great Outdoors

The 2021 Ford Bronco models make the open-air experience quick, easy and fun. The roof of the new Bronco models comes in sections that are quickly and easily removable. Just snap, push and lift away. The Bronco 4-door comes with a class-exclusive removable hardtop middle panel that provides a second-row open-air experience without removing the rear cap. You’ll also enjoy class-exclusive frame-less doors that are lightweight and easy to remove.

One of the biggest complaints about the Jeep Wrangler (besides being very bumpy and uncomfortable) is that there’s no where to store the removable doors besides your garage. But what if you take them off while camping? Or at your destination? Ford engineering has solved that. The Bronco comes with protective door bags for all four doors (or two doors) to be put in. Then, they can be stowed in the storage compartment and stay fully protected from damage. Now you can swap between doors on and doors off for highway and off-roading use on the go.

3. Options, Options, Options

There are a lot of different 2021 Ford Bronco models/trims to choose from but for one of the first times in Ford’s history, there are hundreds upon hundreds of factory backed accessories. To start with the actual models/trims: there are three family members — Bronco Sport, Bronco 2-Door and Bronco 4-Door. With the 2021 Ford Bronco, there are seven different models to choose from: Base, Big Bend, Black Diamond, Outer Banks, Badlands, WildTrak and First Edition. Each of those come with a variety of options. And there are different packages as well including Standard Package, Mid Package, High Package, Lux Package and Sasquatch Package. Since we’re the largest Ford dealership around, and by a wide margin, we’ll have the largest spread of selection to shop from. For those reserving and ordering online ahead of time, we recommend you browse through everything on Ford.com’s helpful Bronco details page.

We’re very excited about the customization potential of the 2021 Ford Bronco family. All American Ford in Old Bridge’s customization shop is ready to make your Bronco, truly the only one like it out there. We can make it something that no one else on these New Jersey roads has. We’re also excited about the potential for ROUSH Performance customizations, since we are the #1 ROUSH Performance dealer group in the Northeast.

4. Living for the Outdoors

There’s a lot of fun things about the 2021 Ford Bronco that make it an adventurers dream vehicle. Ford really made it so that it can go anywhere and do anything. And most impressively they thought about a lot of little things that will make big differences to customers. Buttons will be finished in rubber so they are protected against dirt and water. That makes them easy to clean, too. You will also get rubberized, washable flooring on certain models. There’s an integrated drain plug so cleanup is easy as well.

Something that will become really important to adventurers is that the FordPass Performance app will feature off-road navigation and trail tracking capabilities. Let’s face it though, most folks that buy the 2021 Ford Bronco in New Jersey are sticking to the Garden State Parkway and their normal rather than in the desert or climbing mountains and that’s fine. These Bronco SUVs are going to be a lot of fun to drive on any surface, including the wilderness we know best as the concrete of New Jersey. But for those that are truly taking weekend trips to the great outdoors and beyond and are looking to truly test the 2021 Ford Bronco, they will be pleasantly surprised and excited.

5. Powertrain Choices for Off-Road Thrills and Confidence

The 2021 Ford Bronco models will have the best combination of fuel efficiency, output and gearing to take on the wild outdoors with the race-proven, turbocharged EcoBoost engines and segment-first transmission technology. The Bronco Sport has two engine options. The 1.5L EcoBoost with 4×4 is targeting 181 horsepower and 190 lb.-ft. of torque. The 2.0L EcoBoost, which is standard on the Badlands and First Edition models, comes with advanced 4×4 and is targeting best-in-class 245 horsepower and 275 lb.-ft. of torque. These two engine options come standard with 8-speed automatic transmission making for very smooth upshifts and downshifts.

The Bronco 2-door and 4-door models will also have two impressive engine options. The 2.3L EcoBoost with 4×4 cranks out an impressive 270 horsepower with best-in-class standard gas torque of 310 lb.-ft. The available 2.7L EcoBoost with 4×4 will produce a best-in-class 310 horsepower and 400 lb.-ft. of torque. The segment-first transmissions are something to marvel over. An available segment-first 10-speed transmission will be a game changer against competitors. There’s even a segment-first seven-speed manual transmission that features a unique crawl ratio of up to a best-in-class 94.75:1.

6. Best-In-Class. Period.

Ford didn’t wait all this time to bring back the Bronco just for the sake of re-using the name. They brought it back to destroy the competition. From all indications so far, it will and very easily. Here are all the different best-in-class titles Ford has released so far. These 2021 Ford Bronco SUVs are made to control their segments and completely flip the market share.

  • Best-in-Class Departure Angle and Breakover Angle
  • Best-in-Class Ground Clearance (available 11.6 inches)
  • Best-in-Class Water Fording (available water fording up to 33.5 inches)
  • Best-in-Class Crawl Ratio of 94.75:1 (available seven-speed manual transmission)
  • Best-in-Class Cargo Room Behind the Front Row
  • Best-in-Class Second-Row & Overall Openness (with top removed)
  • Best-in-Class Gasoline Four-Cylinder Torque
  • Best-in-Class Six-Cylinder Gasoline Power
  • Best-in-Class 245 horsepower and 275 lb.-ft. torque on Bronco Sport (with 2.0L EcoBoost Advanced 4×4)

I think the sheer number of reservations we’ve received so far show the confidence level customers have in Ford right now, which is great to see. For us at the dealership, our confidence level is pretty high because Ford really did well with bringing back the Ford Ranger. They took a lot of what people loved in the old Ranger’s, added a whole lot of new Ford stuff, and it’s been doing really well in terms of taking market share. Customers are happy with it. Our staff is happy with them overall and the ease of selling them. Ford made sure the Ranger was best-in-class in a lot of areas and it really shows. We expect the Bronco family launch to be similar but even more successful.

7. Names

One of the smaller, yet fun parts about this new 2021 Ford Bronco family are all the new names of various things. Some of the color options include Cactus Gray, Antimatter Blue, Cyber Orange, Kodiak Brown and my personal favorite — Area 51 — a really nice blue/gray. The different models/trims feature names such as: Big Bend, Outer Banks, Badlands, Black Diamond and WildTrak. There’s even an available Sasquatch Package for every Bronco that includes 35-inch tires with 17-inch beadlock-capable wheels, front- and rear-locking differentials, Trail Control™, 4.7 Final Drive Ratio with electronic-locking front and rear axle and more. It’s the little things I guess!

Honorable Mentions

We had to mention this one. The Bronco comes with a bottle opener in the cargo area. That’s right! Perfect for camping, tailgating and so much more. Non-driving events of course because we are strongly against drinking and driving!

From the Author

I’m Jason Savino, the Marketing Director for the All American Auto Group, and these are my seven coolest things about the Bronco family that I’ve seen so far. Speaking of family, we’re one of the true family owned and operated dealerships in New Jersey. My two brothers and I run the day-to-day operations of All American Ford in Old Bridge with our father, Rich Savino. We really pride ourselves on being family owned and operated and helping out in the community.

We have been getting a ton of questions from customers since the Bronco was revealed on July 13th so I thought I’d consolidate some of the things people are asking and talking about. This list of seven really could have been a hundred, but I decided to keep it to a lucky number seven and dive into numerous things with each one. There are so many more things to know and read about the Bronco so I encourage everyone to learn more where they can. Ford Motor Company has been talking about the return of the Bronco for years now at their annual company meetings that I usually attend in Las Vegas, and now it’s finally happening! Comment if you think we’re missing anything. And please know that All American Ford is here for you with all your Ford Bronco needs! We’re happy to help you reserve or order one. You can start the process yourself if you’d like on our website which will bring you to the Ford.com pages.
