The Ford F-150 has been the customers pickup truck of choice for 43 years in a row now. Perhaps more incredible, the Ford F-150 has been the best selling overall vehicle in America for 38 straight years now. In what many perceive to be a tight Truck Wars, it is anything but that and Ford F-150 is the Best-Selling Pickup Truck in America for 43 Years Running.

The Competition is Not Even Close

But Ford F-150 has continued their dominance of this segment for more than four decades and there’s no end in sight. In 2019, Ford sold nearly 900,000 F-Series pickup trucks. The two next closest competitors didn’t even achieve 635,000 sales. Think about that for a second. The Ford F-Series sells just about 35% more than the closest competitor. The Ram 1500 came in at 633,000 sales and the Silverado was in a free fall, only achieving 575,000 sales.
